Bec has spent the last 18 years focused on developing leaders of all ages. Bec launched her first business at age 16, and her second a social Enterprise which consulted to the education sector in Australia, to design and facilitate leadership and character development programs, at the age of 21. She spent 10 years scaling this organization which worked with more than 185,000 young people and impacted more than 500 schools nationally.
Moving to the United States in 2014, today Bec leads strategic conversations with executive leaders at Deloitte’s Washington DC Greenhouse; an innovation and collaboration space tasked with helping clients focus on their most difficult business and leadership challenges.
Bec has degrees in Politics and Law from Macquarie University in Sydney, has studied social entrepreneurship and innovation at Stanford University and has a Master’s in Leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Her thesis was on the impact of rest on the performance of leaders, inspired after she took a year-long sabbatical to learn how to slow down in order to speed up.
Her year-long sabbatical came after years of running hard. A traumatic life shaping event served as a catalyst that ultimately broke her. As she began to more deeply search and evaluate her heart and life, Bec found a new identity, more productivity, and a renewed outlook on life, work, herself.
